About Language Unlimited

Language Unlimited has provided Survival Spanish for the Workplace for fifteen years. These trainings are so successful that Language Unlimited is usually invited back for more. The organization has taught school personnel in fifteen school districts (multiple times in most), as well as lawyers, restaurant managers, county housing inspectors in Washington County, city workers in Gresham, and service people in social work situations.

Language Unlimited first provided Up with English: accent reduction and English language polishing in Washington D.C. before coming to the Northwest. The president worked on a contractual basis with the federal government to train federal employees—from clerical workers with high school educations to medical scientists from around the world.

About the President

Lynn Reer has been a teacher and trainer in languages since 1966. She taught English as a foreign language in Spain and Greece and directed the English language program of the American bi-national center in Brasilia, Brazil for two years. She taught English as a second language to adults and children in numerous and varied situations throughout the U.S., from Mexican workers in the San Francisco to Cuban and Puerto Rican children in Miami, to college-educated adults at the prestigious Georgetown University English Language Institute.

In 1982, after finishing a doctorate in Applied Linguistics at Georgetown University, Lynn came to Oregon where she established a highly-respected program to train teachers in ESL/Bilingual education at Western Oregon State College. She directed and taught in this program for 15 years. In 1997, Lynn established a Bilingual/ESL endorsement program at Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education. Once again, the program came to be highly regarded in Oregon. Lynn is also considered a knowledgeable and effective consultant and trainer in school districts throughout the Northwest.
